Teresa Erickson

Media Training Specialist

Teresa Erickson has been a senior consultant with Intermedia Communications Training, Inc. since 1997. She has conducted international media workshops, working with organizations such as The World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Asian Development Bank, Public Utility Resource Center (PURC), the World Health Organization and the United Nations Development Programme. She has also worked with government ministries and Parliamentarians around the world. Born in Portugal, Teresa worked with the Voice of America for 17 years. Teresa worked as a producer in the Portuguese-to-Africa service, and later served as news editor for Worldwide English programming. From 1993 to 1997, Teresa Erickson was executive producer and host of a two-hour public affairs show broadcast worldwide to 90 million listeners a week. Her reporting has won numerous awards and she has voiced award-winning documentaries for broadcast on Brazilian television. Teresa Erickson has also led media training workshops for hundreds of journalists from Africa, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Latin America, and has traveled around the world as a spokesperson for the Voice of America.
