Manuel Teodoro

Journalist and Communications Specialist

Manuel Teodoro is one of the most prominent figures in Colombia's journalism industry.  In the last 15 years he has worked as a reporter and anchorman in the leading news programs in that country.  Among them, Séptimo Día, where he is the director.

In his 23 years in television journalism, he has worked in different networks, both in English and Spanish.  Among them, CNN, CBS, NBC, Univision, Telemundo and Caracol.  Before moving to Bogota, he worked in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.

Manuel Teodoro has also worked as an independent producer for networks such as Caracol, RCN and Canal 1.

He has reported from 22 countries and among other awards, he has won two Emmys®.  Among many other world leaders, he has interviewed Bill Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev, Fidel Castro, Ferdinand Marcos, Carlos Menem, Oscar Arias and the last five Colombian presidents.  He also covered the first Gulf War, Iraq, the fall of the Berlin Wall and several US presidential elections.  He has also interviewed world renowned figures in the sports and entertainment fields.

Manuel Teodoro also works as a communications advisor, specializing in crisis management and media relations.  Among other clients, he has advised the Colombian Internal Revenue Service, CODENSA, Hewlett-Packard, Dow Chemical, Chevron, Astra Zeneca. GE Colmotores, ETESA, Bavaria and Davivienda.

He owns "ÁGORA Comunicaciones Estratégicas," a public relations, marketing and advertising company that specializes in the Colombian and Latin American markets.
